Emma Stone Shows Off Silver Smokey Eyes at Gangster Squad Premiere

Emma Stone isn’t afraid to test out an array of different hair and makeup styles. A natural blonde, Emma has tried every hair color in the spectrum from bright red to brunette, and now back to blonde. She wore her golden locks in a curled under bob, and with blunt bangs at the premiere of Gangster Squad at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on January 7, 2013 in Hollywood, California. A silver smoky eye complemented Emma’s face-framing do and drew all the attention to her gorgeous green eyes. Follow her lead and swap out black and gunmetal gray for silver to create a trendy smoky eye like Emma Stone. The shimmer reflects light and makes eyes look brighter.A cheap and easy way to copy Emma Stone’s silvery smoky eyes is with the help of CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast Eye Shadow Stick in Silver Sky.  The two different, specially contoured ends make it easy to create a bold, colorful, smoky eye. The stick has little flecks of glitter in it, which when applied on the lower lid, creates a sparkly wide-eyed effect. Two contoured ends to make it really easy to use.

Start with the rounded tip (lighter color) and apply it all over the lid. Go up to the crease but not inside of it. Take the pointed end (darker color) and go over your lid and into the crease. Put a little on the outer corner of your eye for more emphasis. Here’s the most important tip for smoky eyes – Blend the crease and outer corners of the eye so that there’s no hard lines anywhere around your eyes. It should look like a natural color graduation. Take your black eyeliner and make a really strong hard line over your top lash line. Use the pointy side of the CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast stick and trace over your bottom lash line. Finish with black mascara. This colorful smoky eye effect is beautiful but not too overdone. Finish with Skindinavia Makeup setting spray to keep your smoky eye from fading or creasing throughout the night for up to 16 hours.

If you’d like to replicate Emma Stone’s exact makeup look at the premiere of Gangster Squad you can! Makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin, dished on the products that were used to achieve Emma Stone’s red carpet look:

“I wanted to create a very glamorous look inspired by the vivid cherry red Lanvin dress Emma was wearing,” said Goodwin.  “I played with jewel tones on the eyes and lips and kept the skin looking dewy for a modern twist. The whole look is light and playful and reminds me of the late 70s or early 80s.”
